Ya'rubid Dynasty (Oman)

Ibadi imamate of Oman founded by Imam Nasir bin Murshid in 1624 that unified Oman, expelled the Portuguese from Muscat in 1650, and built an Indian Ocean maritime empire seizing Portuguese possessions on the East African Swahili coast (Mombasa, Zanzibar, Kilwa, Pemba) and the Persian Gulf.

Fell after a prolonged succession struggle and civil war that began in 1712; Ahmad bin Said of the Al Bu Said became undisputed ruler of Oman in 1749, founding the Al Bu Said dynasty (already canonical as 'Oman', id: oman, and 'Omani Empire', id: omani_empire).
