Yamnaya Culture

3300 BC – 2600 BC
CultureEurope

A Pontic-Caspian steppe culture of pastoralist kurgan-builders between the Southern Bug, Dniester, and Ural rivers whose migrations reshaped the genetics and languages of later Europe.

Its pastoralist populations and ancestry fed directly into the Corded Ware, Catacomb, and Poltavka cultures across Europe and the steppe.
