Not an ending: confined to the Brazos Reserve in Texas in 1855, the Wichita and their allies were driven out of the state by settler violence in 1859 and moved again in 1867 to the Washita country of Indian Territory. They continue as the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes — Wichita, Keechi, Waco and Tawakoni — headquartered at Anadarko in Caddo County, Oklahoma.
