Western Yan

Rival Xianbei Murong state founded by Murong Hong/Murong Chong amid the Former Qin's collapse, intended to lead relocated Xianbei back east; hostile to and distinct from the Later Yan, and not counted among the canonical 'Sixteen Kingdoms.'

Conquered by the Later Yan in 394.
