Deccan dynasty that emerged under Madhava Varma by conquering the Salankayana kingdom's coastal-Andhra territory, later shifting a capital to Amaravati; at its height controlled parts of present-day Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, and Odisha.

Eastern Deccan conquered by the Chalukya king Pulakeshin II, who installed his brother Kubja Vishnuvardhana as viceroy; Vishnuvardhana later broke away to found the Eastern Chalukya dynasty (c. 624).
