Victohali

CultureEurope

People of Late Antiquity (Greek: Biktoa/Biktoloi) who lived north of the Lower Danube, possibly a Germanic people and possibly one of the tribes of the Vandals. Crossed the Danube alongside the Marcomanni and Quadi during the reign of Marcus Aurelius (161-180) as part of the Marcomannic Wars.

Later sources place them still in the Dacia region alongside the Taifali and Tervingi (Eutropius, writing c. AD 360: 'the Taifali, Victohali and Tervingi now possess [Dacia]'); precise dissolution/absorption date is not recorded.
