Iron Age pre-Roman people of the western Iberian meseta (modern Ávila and Salamanca provinces, Spain, with border areas in Cáceres, Zamora, Toledo and eastern Portugal), organized as a tribal confederacy from the 3rd century BC, traditional allies of the Lusitani, known for their granite verraco animal sculptures.

Incorporated into the Roman province of Hispania Ulterior around 134-133 BC following the Numantine War era, though sporadic raiding continued afterward.
