Vatsa Kingdom

One of the sixteen Mahajanapadas of ancient India, located in the Yamuna-Ganges confluence region, known for its capital at Kausambi and absorption by Magadha around the 4th century BCE.

The Vatsa kingdom (centred at Kaushambi) was conquered by Mahapadma Nanda of the Nanda dynasty c. 360–340 BCE as part of the Nanda expansion across northern India.
