Somali Muslim sultanate of the Tunni clan in southwestern Somalia, south of the Shebelle River, with its capital and Islamic center at the port of Barawa.
Conquered by the Garen Kingdom under King Abdalle Dayle in the mid-13th century and incorporated into the expanding Ajuran Sultanate; Barawa itself continued as a major Benadir port under Ajuran and later Geledi rule.
