1356 – 1396
KingdomEurope

A breakaway Bulgarian tsardom centered on the Danube fortress city of Vidin, ruled by Tsar Ivan Sratsimir as a separate crowned line from his half-brother Ivan Shishman's rival tsardom at Tarnovo after their father Ivan Alexander divided the Second Bulgarian Empire between them; it survived as an independent Bulgarian successor state through the late 14th century.

Conquered by the Ottoman Empire under Sultan Bayezid I in 1396 (during the Nicopolis campaign), when Ivan Sratsimir was captured, ending the last independent medieval Bulgarian state.
