Early cattle-keeping chiefdom of eastern Botswana, contemporary of Mapungubwe.

The Toutswe chiefdom declined and was abandoned around the 13th century, contemporaneously with the fall of Mapungubwe, as trade networks shifted and the specularite/cattle economy collapsed.
