Bowhead-whale hunters with dog sleds, umiaks and sod-and-whalebone houses who spread from Alaska across the entire Arctic in a few generations and became the modern Inuit.

Did not end but became the Inuit; the Little Ice Age pushed them toward smaller-game hunting, and they met European whalers and the Norse on the way.
