CultureEurope

Middle Bronze Age culture of the Po Valley known for its pile-dwelling villages built on artificial terraced mounds, organized cremation cemeteries, and a structured agricultural economy.

Collapsed suddenly around 1150 BCE when all its settlements in the Po Valley were abandoned, a crisis roughly contemporaneous with the broader Late Bronze Age collapse in the eastern Mediterranean, leaving the Emilia plain largely depopulated for centuries.
