Tarumanagara

One of the earliest Hindu kingdoms of Java, attested by inscriptions including the Ciaruteun and Tugu stones; king Purnawarman (r. c. 395-434) produced Java's earliest known inscriptions and sent embassies to Tang China.

Fragmented into smaller successor kingdoms (including Sunda and Galuh) by the late 7th century as central authority weakened.
