William Augustus Bowles's proclaimed pan-Native state among the Seminole and Lower Creek towns of Spanish Florida, resisting both Spanish and American claims to the region.

Collapsed when Bowles was lured into a trap and captured by the Spanish at a Creek council in 1803; he died a prisoner in Havana's Morro Castle in 1805.
