Northern remnant of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement left inside Sudan when South Sudan seceded in 2011. Abdelaziz al-Hilu's faction administers a quasi-state it calls New Sudan in the Nuba Mountains of South Kordofan and the southern Blue Nile.
