Slovak Republic (First)

The clerical-fascist client state of Nazi Germany under Jozef Tiso, declared one day before Germany occupied the Czech lands — the first formally independent Slovak state.

Overrun by the Red Army; ceased to exist 4 April 1945 as Czechoslovakia was restored.
