Sirohi State (Deora Chauhan)

Deora Chauhan Rajput kingdom in the south-western Aravallis, holding Mount Abu and the Western Banas country; famous for the Sirohi sword and for centuries of resistance to Jodhpur's claims of suzerainty.

Treaty with the British in 1823; acceded to India in 1947, merged into Bombay in 1949 and transferred to Rajasthan on 26 January 1950.
