The oldest recorded inhabitants of Sicily, occupying the west-central part of the island between the Elymians to the west and the Sicels to the east, present before Phoenician and Greek colonization.

Their language went extinct around 300 BCE; gradually absorbed by Phoenician and Greek colonizers and later disappeared as a distinct people following Roman annexation of Sicily.
