Lambayeque (Sicán)

Far-north-coast goldsmiths who buried lords in shaft tombs heaped with golden masks and tumi knives, ruling from pyramid cities at Batán Grande and Túcume.

Conquered by the expanding Chimú kingdom around 1375; its Lambayeque heartland later passed to the Inca.
