Not an ending: pushed from the Ohio country by defeat at Fallen Timbers (1794) and the Treaty of Greenville, the last Shawnee bands in Ohio ceded their remaining Wapakoneta, Hog Creek and Lewistown reservations and crossed to Kansas in 1831. Their descendants are the three federally recognized Shawnee tribes of Oklahoma today: the Absentee-Shawnee Tribe, the Eastern Shawnee Tribe, and the Shawnee Tribe (Loyal Shawnee), headquartered at Miami, Oklahoma.
