Gaulish tribe of the Franche-Comte/Jura region, notable for inviting the Germanic chieftain Ariovistus and his Suebi across the Rhine to help against the Aedui, only to have Ariovistus turn on them and seize their territory.
Rescued from Ariovistus by Caesar's intervention (58 BCE) but subsequently absorbed like the rest of Gaul following the defeat of Vercingetorix's revolt (52 BCE).
