Revival Göktürk khaganate centered on Ötüken, reasserting Turkic independence after Tang conquest of the Eastern Khaganate.

Overthrown in 744 CE by a coalition of Uyghur, Karluk, and Basmyl tribes under Uyghur leader Kutlug I Bilge Kagan, who captured the sacred center of Ötüken and executed Khagan Özmiş, giving rise to the successor Uyghur Khaganate.
