Sallarid dynasty (Musafirid)

Shia Muslim dynasty of Daylami origin (also called Musafirids/Langarids) that expanded from its mountain base at Shamiran into Azerbaijan, Arran, and parts of eastern Armenia in the 10th century, part of the "Iranian Intermezzo" of native dynasties between Abbasid and Turkic rule.

Fragmented among rival Musafirid branches through the mid-11th century and was progressively absorbed by the Rawwadids, Shaddadids, and eventually the Seljuks.
