Salian Franks

Frankish tribal grouping settled in Batavia and Toxandria (modern Netherlands/Belgium) from c.297 CE, whose ruling lineage—the Merovingians—unified the Franks under Clovis I in 481 CE.

Superseded by the emergence of unified Merovingian Francia under Clovis I (~481 CE); the 'Salian Franks' as a distinct sub-tribal label dissolves into the broader Frankish kingdom.
