Sajid dynasty

An Iranian-origin, Arabicized Muslim dynasty (Banu Saj) that governed Azerbaijan and parts of Armenia as a virtually independent Abbasid appanage, founded by Muhammad ibn Abi'l-Saj.

Dynasty ended with the death of Abu'l-Musafir al-Fath in 929; territory was absorbed into the successor Salarid/Musafirid sphere.
