Reichskommissariat Ostland

Nazi Germany's civilian occupation regime over Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and western Byelorussia (1941-1945), seat Riga, under Reichskommissar Hinrich Lohse — four Generalbezirke (Estland, Lettland, Litauen, Weissruthenien) run under Generalplan Ost.

Overrun by the Red Army's 1944 Baltic Offensive; its remnant, the Courland pocket, held out until the German surrender of 8 May 1945.
