A dynasty of Qara Khitai (ethnic Khitan) origin founded by Buraq Hajib, who fled the collapsing Qara Khitai realm to seize Kirman; ruled successively as vassals of the Khwarazmian Empire, the Mongol Empire, and the Ilkhanate.
Removed from power in 1306 when the Ilkhanid ruler Öljaitü replaced the dynasty with an appointed governor of Kirman.
