The Qing was the last imperial dynasty of China, founded by the Manchu Jurchen, expanding to Tibet, Xinjiang, and Mongolia at its height before succumbing to internal rebellion and Western imperial pressure in the nineteenth century.

The Qing dynasty ended in 1912 CE when the last emperor Puyi abdicated following the Xinhai Revolution of 1911, establishing the Republic of China.
