An Iron Age material culture of what is now Poland (upper Oder and Vistula basins), the successor to the Lusatian culture, showing early La Tène (Celtic) influence and later exchange with the Jastorf and Zarubintsy cultures; associated by many scholars with early Germanic (Vandal-Silesian) and mixed populations of the region before the Migration Period.
Faded during the 5th century AD Migration Period disruptions in the region; its territory was later occupied by early Slavic tribal groups whose polities (the West Slavic Polans) would coalesce into the Piast state by the 10th-11th centuries.
