Principality of Mataranga

1358 – 1367
PrincipalityEurope

Blasius Mataranga's short-lived principality between the Shkumbin and Seman rivers, carved out in 1358 as the Serbian Empire fell apart — a grain-trading lordship tied to Ragusa, fighting the Thopias and allying with the Balsha in the war of 1363-64.

Collapsed after Blasius's death c.1367; his son Gjon kept a remnant, but by the early 1370s the lands had been absorbed by the Thopia principality and the Muzaka.
