Polada culture

2200 BC – 1500 BC
CultureEurope

An early Bronze Age culture of pile-dwelling settlements spread primarily across modern Lombardy, Veneto and Trentino, named for the small Polada peat bog between Lonato del Garda and Desenzano del Garda where the first finds were made (1870s).

Succeeded in the Middle Bronze Age by the pile-dwelling and damned-settlement facies and the Terramare culture.
