Orange Period

The Orange Period was a Late Archaic archaeological culture along the eastern Florida peninsula, defined by Orange-series fiber-tempered pottery, representing one of the earliest pottery traditions in North America.

Ended around 1000 BCE as the Orange fiber-tempered pottery tradition of eastern Florida was replaced by Early Woodland ceramic traditions, with no single named successor culture.
