1800 BC – 238 BC
CultureEurope

Bronze Age civilization of Sardinia, named for the nuraghi — the stone tower-fortresses that still dot the island — and notable for sophisticated metallurgy, long-distance trade, and distinctive bronzetti figurines.

Formally ended with the Roman conquest of Sardinia in 238 BCE, though Nuragic cultural elements survived in the mountainous interior (Barbagia) at least into the early Roman imperial period.
