Rump Genghisid Mongol state on the Mongolian Plateau after the Yuan court fled Ming armies in 1368; kept the Yuan imperial title and Borjigin succession through repeated civil wars (Northern Yuan vs. Oirat/Four Oirat rivals) until conquered by the Jurchen-led Later Jin in 1635.
