A Turkic-Mongol steppe confederation of the Pontic-Caspian region, dominated by the Manghit clan and tracing its formation to the 14th-century kingmaker Nogai Khan and the 1390s Manghit leader Edigu; occupied the steppe between the Volga and Ural rivers, splitting into Greater and Lesser Nogai Hordes from 1557.

Broke down in the early-to-mid 17th century under pressure from the invading Kalmyks from the east and Russian expansion from the north/west, with Wikidata dating final dissolution to 1634.
