Nobatia

Northernmost of the medieval Christian Nubian kingdoms, later absorbed by Makuria.

Nobatia was absorbed by the neighboring Kingdom of Makuria sometime in the 7th or early 8th century CE, likely c. 700 CE; the combined realm is thereafter referred to simply as Makuria, with Old Dongola as its capital.
