Nakhichevan Khanate

A khanate on the Aras river around the city of Nakhichevan, established by Heydar Qoli Khan after Nader Shah's death; one of the four velayats of Persian Armenia, ceded to Russia by the Treaty of Turkmenchay in 1828.

Ceded to the Russian Empire by the Treaty of Turkmenchay (1828) and abolished, its territory joined with Erivan to form the Armenian Oblast.
