Gaetulian Berber sub-confederation whose leader Tacfarinas waged an eight-year guerrilla war against Rome (17–24 CE), one of the most prolonged provincial revolts of the early Empire.
Revolt suppressed in 24 CE when Tacfarinas was cornered and killed himself; the Musulamii were dispersed and incorporated into Roman auxiliary units, their migration routes severed by Roman road construction.
