The Middle Bronze Age of mainland Greece (c. 2000–1550 BC), a period of relative cultural retrogression following the Early Helladic III collapse (c. 2200 BC), characterized by hilltop settlements concentrated in the Peloponnese and central Greece and by the widespread Minyan ware pottery tradition. Chronologically corresponds to the Middle Kingdom of Egypt (already in this dataset).
Gave way to the palatial Mycenaean civilization (Late Helladic; 'Mycenaean Greece' already in this dataset) by c. 1600 BC.
