Kingdom of Mengwi

A south-Balinese kingdom established in the early 18th century by I Gusti Agung Made Agung, descended from the last king of Gelgel. Mengwi was a considerable power in the 1700s, at times extending its reach across the strait to Blambangan in east Java, before it was crushed and partitioned in 1891 by a coalition of its Balinese rivals led by Badung.

Conquered and dismembered in 1891 by Badung and allied Balinese kingdoms; its territory divided among the victors.
