Kingdom of Marwar (Jodhpur)

Rathore Rajput kingdom of the Marwar region of western Rajputana, established by Rao Siha and later seated at Jodhpur on the eastern edge of the Thar Desert; a major Mughal ally and later Maratha tributary.

Became a British protectorate in 1818 and acceded to the Dominion of India in 1949 (merged into Rajasthan).
