The ruling dynasty of the Kathmandu Valley (Nepal Mandala) founded by Arideva Malla in 1201, presiding over the flourishing of Newar civilization and its India-Tibet trade role for nearly six centuries.

Ended in 1769 when Prithvi Narayan Shah's Gorkha Kingdom conquered the Kathmandu Valley's three Malla successor kingdoms, unifying Nepal under the Shah dynasty.
