Earliest known Hindu kingdom in the East Indies, attested by 4th-century Sanskrit Yupa inscriptions near the Mahakam River naming rulers Kudungga, Aswawarman, and Mulawarman; centered in what is now East Kalimantan, Borneo.

Conquered in 1635 by the neighboring Islamic Sultanate of Kutai Kartanegara, ending Hindu rule in the region.
