Nubian 'Black Pharaohs' of Kush who conquered and ruled all of Egypt as the 25th Dynasty.

The Kushite Twenty-fifth Dynasty (c. 747–656 BCE) was driven out of Egypt by the Assyrian Empire under Esarhaddon (who captured Memphis in 671 BCE) and definitively expelled by Ashurbanipal, who sacked Thebes in 663 BCE; Tantamani (664–656 BCE) was the last Kushite pharaoh to hold any claim in Egypt, after which the Twenty-sixth (Saite) Dynasty replaced Kushite rule.
