Small Rathore kingdom in the centre of Rajputana, founded by Kishan Singh, a son of the Jodhpur ruler Udai Singh, in Mughal service; later celebrated for the Kishangarh school of miniature painting.
Brought under British protection on 26 March 1818; acceded to India on 15 August 1947 and merged into Rajasthan on 25 March 1948.
