Kingdom of Kush

1070 BC – 350
KingdomAfrica

Long-lived Nubian kingdom (Napatan then Meroitic) that for a time ruled all Egypt.

The Kingdom of Kush (Napatan and Meroitic phases, c. 800 BCE–350 CE) was destroyed c. 350 CE when the Kingdom of Aksum under King Ezana invaded and sacked Meroë (finding it largely abandoned, already weakened by the Noba), incorporating the northern Kushite territories; the Meroitic script ceased to be used and the political structures of Kush dissolved into the successor polities of Nobatia, Makuria, and Alodia.
