1463 – 1810
KingdomEurope

The western-Georgian kingdom based at Kutaisi, re-established in 1463 as the unified Kingdom of Georgia broke apart; a centuries-long battleground between Georgian rivals and the Ottomans, it was annexed by Russia in 1810.

Annexed by the Russian Empire in 1810: the last king, Solomon II, was deposed after resisting Russian control, and Imereti was absorbed into the Russian imperial administration of Transcaucasia.
