Kingdom of Bohemia

The Přemyslid and later Luxembourg and Habsburg kingdom that was both a constituent of the Holy Roman Empire and a significant regional power, reaching its apogee under Charles IV in the 14th century.

Incorporated into the Habsburg Monarchy following the Battle of White Mountain in 1620, after which it lost most of its autonomous institutions; Bohemia formally remained a crown land within the Austrian Empire (proclaimed 1804) until 1918, when it became part of the newly formed Czechoslovakia.
