Successor Romano-Berber kingdom in western Algeria, last holdout before the Umayyad conquest.

The Kingdom of Altava, the last Romano-Berber holdout in the western Maghreb, ended when its ruler Kusaila was killed at the Battle of Mamma in 690 CE fighting the Umayyads; the territory was subsequently incorporated into the expanding Umayyad Caliphate.
